More than 2,000 years have passed since Cleopatra walked the halls of her palace, yet her name still means something to women all over the world. Few historical figures have remained so deeply rooted in our imagination for so long. Civilizations have disappeared, kingdoms have fallen and fashion has reinvented itself countless times, but Cleopatra has never truly gone out of style. Every generation discovers her again, every generation tells her story differently, and every generation finds a new reason to admire the woman behind the legend.

That has always fascinated me.

Not because I am obsessed with ancient Egypt, but because I keep asking myself the same question. What is it about Cleopatra that continues to captivate us after more than twenty centuries? Why do thousands of women choose her for masquerade balls, editorial photoshoots, luxury Halloween parties, desert festivals, theatrical performances or once-in-a-lifetime celebrations? Why is it always Cleopatra who comes to mind when we imagine the most powerful woman in the room?

The obvious answer would be beauty.

I don’t think that is the real answer.

More Than a Queen - A Symbol of Feminine Power

History tells us that Cleopatra’s greatest strength was not simply the way she looked. She was an exceptionally educated ruler, a brilliant strategist and a woman who understood how to lead, negotiate and inspire. She knew that appearance was never just appearance. Every piece of jewellery, every carefully chosen symbol and every detail became part of the message she wanted to communicate. Long before personal branding existed, Cleopatra understood that the way we present ourselves shapes the way the world remembers us.

Perhaps that is why she still feels so relevant today.

When I think about Cleopatra, I don’t imagine a historical costume. I imagine feminine strength. I imagine a woman who enters a room without trying to be the loudest person in it, yet somehow everyone notices her. Not because she demands attention, but because confidence has a presence of its own. There is something incredibly timeless about that feeling, and I believe it is the reason women continue returning to Cleopatra generation after generation.

The Feeling Women Have Been Searching For For Centuries

Over the years I have realised that my customers are rarely looking for an Egyptian queen. They are looking for a feeling. They want to experience that magical moment when they put on something extraordinary and suddenly see a different version of themselves looking back from the mirror. Not someone fake. Not someone pretending to be somebody else. Simply the version of themselves that everyday life doesn’t often allow them to become.

That is the reason this collection exists.

I have always said that I create crowns for goddesses, and the Cleopatra Collection has become one of the purest expressions of that philosophy. It was never created to reproduce history with archaeological precision. It was created to capture an emotion that history left behind. The feeling of walking with your head held a little higher. The feeling of allowing yourself to be seen. The feeling of taking up space without apologising for it.

One of the most beautiful things about designing these pieces has been discovering how differently every woman interprets Cleopatra. For one, she represents elegance. For another, courage. Someone else sees mystery, creativity or unapologetic femininity. There is no single correct version, because the real power of Cleopatra has never been found in a crown, a dress or a piece of jewellery. It has always lived in the woman herself.

Creating More Than a Costume

That is why I have never thought of these designs as Halloween costumes. Of course, many women wear them for Halloween, and I absolutely love seeing the incredible looks they create. But the collection has gradually found its way into places I never expected. It has travelled to luxury masquerade balls, fashion editorials, maternity photoshoots, birthday celebrations, theatrical productions, fantasy portraits, desert festivals and performances where women wanted to create something unforgettable rather than simply wear a costume.

What surprised me most was not where the crowns travelled.

It was what women wrote to me afterwards.

After years of reading hundreds of messages, I realised they all shared the same emotion. They rarely started by talking about the craftsmanship or the details. Instead, they described the experience. They told me that strangers couldn’t stop looking at them. That people came over just to ask where they had found their crown. That complete strangers wanted photographs with them. Again and again, different women from different countries, attending completely different events, described almost exactly the same feeling.

Designing Memories Instead of Accessories

For me, that was the moment I understood what I was truly designing.

Not crowns. Not jewellery. Not accessories.

I was designing memories.

I was designing the kind of moments women remember years later, not because of what they wore, but because of how they felt while wearing it.

That understanding quietly changed the way I approached every Cleopatra design that followed. Instead of asking myself how to make the next crown more elaborate, I started asking a different question.

How can I make a woman feel unforgettable the moment she puts it on?

That question has guided every design decision I have made ever since.

That question eventually led me to one unexpected moment that changed this collection forever.

When One Crown Changed Everything

Several years ago, Khloé Kardashian ordered one of my Cleopatra crowns. The design she had chosen had already been part of my collection for quite some time, and although I was still proud of it, I knew my work had grown since I first created it. Every designer knows that feeling. You look at an older piece and, instead of seeing what it is, you see what it could become today. So I decided to make one more crown especially for her. She hadn’t asked for it, and she certainly wasn’t expecting it. I simply wanted to show what the Cleopatra Collection had become and where my craftsmanship had evolved. When she eventually chose to wear the new design, I realised something important. The collection could never stand still. Just like the women who wear it, it had to keep evolving.

The Collection That Never Stopped Evolving

Since then, every new design has been created with exactly the same philosophy. I don’t begin with a historical illustration or a costume reference. I begin with a feeling. I imagine a woman standing in front of a mirror before one of the most exciting days of her year. Maybe she is preparing for a masquerade ball she has dreamed about for months. Maybe she is travelling to a desert festival where self-expression becomes an art form. Maybe she is planning an editorial photoshoot, celebrating a milestone birthday or simply doing something completely outside her everyday life. Whatever the occasion, I want her first thought to be the same: “This feels like me.

That is why the Cleopatra Collection slowly grew from a single crown into an entire world. Today it includes statement crowns, halo crowns, necklaces, earrings, arm cuffs, finger claws and other accessories that can be combined into a complete look or worn as individual pieces. Some women prefer understated elegance, others embrace dramatic styling from head to toe. Neither approach is more beautiful than the other, because true luxury has never been about wearing more. It has always been about wearing something that feels deeply personal.

Crafted for Women Who Want to Be Unforgettable

Every piece is still created the way I believe luxury should be created: patiently. Czech glass pearls have long been one of the signatures of my work and represent a tradition admired around the world for generations. Many of the pearls are custom coloured especially for us by a family-run workshop here in the Czech Republic, allowing us to achieve unique shades that simply cannot be found in a catalogue. I combine them with carefully selected filigrees and metal components sourced from both the Czech Republic and around the world, always choosing the elements that best tell the story behind each design. I could certainly choose faster methods or simpler materials, but they would never tell the same story. The beauty of handcrafted work often lies in details that most people never consciously notice, yet somehow feel the moment they hold the finished piece in their hands.

Perhaps that is also why custom design has become such an important part of my work. Some women ask me to match the colours perfectly to their gown. Others dream of a completely original design inspired by Cleopatra but created exclusively for them. Those conversations are some of my favourite moments in the creative process because they remind me that every woman imagines her own version of this timeless icon. My role is never to copy history. It is to translate someone’s imagination into something she can actually wear.

Luxury Is Never Rushed

Of course, creating pieces this way also means accepting one simple reality: time is my most valuable material. Every design passes through my hands, and there are only so many hours in a day. As both a designer and a mother, I have learned that craftsmanship cannot be rushed without losing the very thing that makes it special. That is why, as the festival season, masquerade season and Halloween approach, I always encourage women to plan ahead. Ordering early isn’t about creating urgency; it is about giving every piece the time and attention it deserves, especially when it comes to bespoke commissions.

Perhaps Cleopatra Was Never the Destination

Looking back today, I don’t think the Cleopatra Collection is really about ancient Egypt anymore. It has become something much more personal than that. It is a celebration of women who choose to express themselves without hesitation. Women who aren’t afraid of elegance. Women who understand that standing out is not the same as showing off. Women who know that confidence can be quiet, graceful and incredibly powerful at the same time.

The Queen Has Always Been Within You

Maybe that is the real reason Cleopatra has never disappeared from our imagination. Her story reminds us that strength and femininity have never been opposites. They have always belonged together. More than two thousand years later, she still inspires women to step into the spotlight, not because they want to become someone else, but because they finally allow the strongest version of themselves to be seen.

If this collection helps create even one of those unforgettable moments, then it has already fulfilled its purpose. Whether you choose a single statement crown or build an entire Cleopatra look with matching accessories, my hope is always the same. I hope that, when you look into the mirror, you won’t simply see beautiful craftsmanship. I hope you will see a woman who carries herself a little taller, smiles a little brighter and walks into the room knowing she doesn’t have to ask anyone for permission to shine.

Because perhaps becoming Cleopatra was never about becoming a queen.

Perhaps it has always been about remembering the queen that was already within you.

Perhaps your Cleopatra has been waiting for you all along.
