These La Catrina Sacred Heart Earrings were created as part of our new Día de los Muertos collection, inspired by the extraordinary beauty of La Catrina: elegant and dramatic, yet inseparable from a tradition that speaks about remembrance, love, family and the preciousness of life.
At the heart of the design is one of the most powerful visual elements of this collection — the sacred heart.
Suspended beneath delicate antique-gold details and deep red accents, the hearts frame the face with movement and warmth. Their rich golden finish is contrasted by red crystals and floral elements, creating jewelry that feels romantic, ceremonial and unmistakably feminine.
Red was chosen intentionally.
Against antique gold, it brings the entire design to life — the color of roses, passion, warmth and love. It connects the earrings visually with the crown’s abundance of red flowers and with the jewel-like details of the matching necklace, allowing every element of the collection to feel as though it belongs to the same story.
The earrings were designed to be beautiful on their own, but their true character reveals itself when they become part of a complete La Catrina transformation.
With the hair swept back, they fall dramatically beside the face. With loose hair, glimpses of gold and red appear between the strands as you move. And beside traditional-inspired Catrina makeup, their elongated silhouette creates an elegant transition between the face and neckline.

Our interpretation of La Catrina is rooted in admiration for the visual language surrounding Día de los Muertos and in respect for the meaning carried by the celebration. Día de los Muertos is not about making death frightening. It is a time connected with remembrance — honoring those who came before us while celebrating the life, love and memories that continue to connect families across generations.
That beautiful coexistence of life and death is one of the reasons La Catrina has fascinated us for so many years.
She can wear flowers beside a skull.
She can be surrounded by color while speaking about mortality.
She can be extraordinarily beautiful without pretending that life lasts forever.
And perhaps that is precisely why her image remains so powerful.
These earrings were created to carry a small part of that visual story. Each pair is handcrafted in our Czech atelier, where the individual components are selected and assembled by hand. Subtle variations are a natural part of handmade work and make every piece slightly individual.

Full La Catrina Set

Designed together as one complete composition, the set carries the red, antique-gold, floral and sacred-heart details from the crown through the earrings and down to the neckline for the most complete transformation.
